Privacy policy
Who is responsible?
Let It Out is developed by Tomas Windahl, Sweden, who is responsible for the app’s processing described here. Contact: tomas.windahl77@gmail.com.
Microphone, pictures and game data
The app requests microphone permission for voice-controlled games and calibration. Audio is analysed in memory for intensity and pitch and is not stored or sent to us, Google or Apple by the app. You can revoke microphone permission in iPhone Settings; voice-controlled games then cannot run.
Picture mode accesses only the picture you select through Apple’s photo picker. A resized copy is saved inside the app on your phone and replaced when you select another picture. The app does not upload it. Scores, player names, progress, collections, preferences, calibration and the counter used to space ads are stored locally. The leaderboard is local, not a public online leaderboard. We do not operate a server collecting these game data and do not add a separate analytics service.
If you choose to share a result or challenge, the content is passed to the app or recipient you choose. That service’s privacy rules apply. Device backups may include local app data according to your Apple settings.
Advertising and your choices
Free play uses Google AdMob and Google’s User Messaging Platform for privacy choices. The app requests non-personalised ads, disables Google’s publisher first-party ID feature, and does not request Apple’s tracking permission or access to IDFA. Non-personalised ads still involve data processing.
Google’s advertising SDK may process IP address (including approximate location inferred from it), app or device identifiers, ad views and interactions, and crash and performance diagnostics for ad delivery, measurement, fraud prevention and service operation. Microphone audio, selected pictures and local player names or scores are not supplied to the advertising SDK by the app.
Where required, a privacy message lets you accept, reject or manage choices before advertising is requested. Use Ad privacy choices in the app menu to revisit available choices and withdraw consent. Withdrawal does not affect processing already performed. Depending on your choices and region, limited ads or no ads may be available. Buying Remove ads stops further ad requests from the app once Apple verifies the purchase; it does not erase data already held by Google.
Details about Google and its partners, processing, retention and international transfer safeguards are available in Google’s privacy policy and how Google uses information from apps. Relevant advertising partners and purposes appear in the privacy message.
Purchases and support
Apple processes the optional, one-time Remove ads purchase. The app reads verified purchase information to provide, restore or revoke ad-free access. We do not receive your card or bank details. See Apple’s privacy policy. If you email support, we receive your email address, message and any information you choose to include.
Purposes, retention and your rights
Local game processing and purchase verification provide the features you request. Support correspondence is used to answer your request, based on our legitimate interest in helping users. Where consent is required for advertising-related processing, your choices are collected through the privacy message; partner-specific legal bases are explained there.
Local data remain until replaced or removed with the app. Deleting the app (rather than offloading it) removes its local data; backups are managed separately in your Apple settings. A non-consumable purchase remains linked to your Apple Account. Support messages are normally deleted within 12 months after a case is closed unless a legal obligation or unresolved dispute requires longer retention. Google and Apple manage retention for their services under their own policies.
Depending on applicable law, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction or portability of personal data and object to certain processing. Contact us using the address above. We cannot retrieve game data stored only on your phone. You may complain to Sweden’s Integritetsskyddsmyndigheten (IMY) or your local supervisory authority. Changes to this policy will be published here with an updated date.
